Descriptions of All 4 Seasons CSA for 2019 - 37 total weeks

Our Spring CSA is an 7 week program that begins in March and ends in April.

All of the produce for our Spring CSA is grown by us and is USDA certified organic. Thus, each week you will receive those crops that are in season locally. Typically your portion will include cool season crops such as lettuce, kale, cabbage, spinach, chard, radishes, bunching onions, beets, kohlrabi, arugula, carrots, endive, escarole, turnips, sorrel, fennel, and mustard.

Our Summer CSA is a 14 week program that begins in mid May and ends in late August.

All of the produce for our Summer CSA is grown by us and is USDA certified organic. Thus, each week you will receive those crops that are in season locally. Typically your portion will include some combination of lettuce, broccoli, Italian cauliflower, spinach, arugula, kale, beets, carrots, turnips, kohlrabi, onions and cabbages in May and June. In late June and July, you can expect to see the addition of tomatoes, potatoes, sweet corn, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, fennel, and basil and other herbs. In late July and August, your portion will include some combination of cucumbers, squash, peppers, herbs, tomatoes, eggplant, beans, cantaloupes, watermelons, and zucchini. Throughout the season, your portion will also include many heirloom as well as specialty foods such as sweet Italian peppers, arugula, Chinese cabbages, red and blue potatoes, Asian cucumbers, and other unique varieties. Our Fall CSA is a 9 week program that begins in mid September and ends in November.

All of the produce for our Fall CSA is grown by us and is USDA certified organic. Thus, each week you will receive those crops that are in season locally. Typically the Fall CSA will begin with crops such as sweet peppers, tomatoes, squash/zucchini, onions, potatoes, eggplant, hot peppers, basil, beans, and winter squash. Later in the season, your portion will include some combination of cool season crops such as lettuce, kale, bok choy, tatsoi, cabbage, chard, radishes, bunching onions, kohlrabi, arugula, collards, sweet potatoes, and turnips.

The Winter CSA is a 7 week program that begins in early December and ends in February 2020.

We plan to have no deliveries for the two weeks that include Christmas and New Year's Day. Additionally, it is likely that there will be weeks that we do not deliver in the winter because of weather conditions. Our best estimate is that we will have 2 or 3 CSA weeks in December, 2 or 3 in January, and 1 or 2 in February for a total of 7 weeks. Our plan is to send an email on Fridays or Saturdays that will inform you as to whether there will be a pickup the next week or not. Because cold temperatures can impact crop growth rates significantly, Winter CSA Subscribers need to be somewhat flexible.

All of the produce for our Winter CSA is grown by us and is USDA certified organic. Thus, each week you will receive those crops that are in season locally. Typically the Winter CSA will include crops such as lettuce, sweet potatoes, bunching onions, kale, bok choy, tatsoi, cabbage, chard, radishes, kohlrabi, collards, butternut squash, broccoli, carrots, mustard greens, and turnips.

Subscription Sizes

For the All 4 Seasons CSA program, you have a choice between a Personal Subscription and a Family Subscription. The quantity of produce in a Personal Subscription is approximately 50% to 60% of that in a Family Subscription. The price for All 4 Seasons of a Personal Subscription is $780.00 plus sales tax. The price for All 4 Seasons of a Family Subscription is $1150.00 plus sales tax.

Terms

Subscriptions are for the All 4 Seasons CSA program as described above.

Subscriptions are limited and are on a first-come first-serve basis.

Transfers of subscriptions are permitted; however, there are no refunds for unused portions of subscriptions. Traditionally we have provided a prorated refund if a subscriber moves out of our delivery area and cannot find someone to take over their subscription.

If you choose to split a subscription, it is your responsibility to divide the contents after your pickup.

We ask that you arrange to have someone else pick up your CSA bag if you are unable to do so.

If you miss your pickup, you can email or call and make arrangements to pick up your CSA bag as long as you contact us no later than 24 hours after your scheduled pickup time. This option is not available at My Vegan Sweet Tooth or Natural Balance Day Spa.
